The 2012 Killington Classic Expected To Be Labor Day’s Biggest Northeast Motorcycle Rally
Posted on June 28, 2012
Killington, VT: Following the cancellation of the 2011 event due to Hurricane Irene, the 2012 "KC" roars back bigger and better than ever with more rides and events, new stunt shows and a bigger vendor area.
Rides include guided tours of Vermont's famous covered bridges and an amazing tour spanning the many high gaps of Vermont's Green Mountains, Poker Runs and Scavenger hunts with great prizes, the special "Irene Valley Ride", and others.
"We're delighted with this event," said Christian Dutcher, the Classic's Director. "It's the perfect combination of excellent mountain and valley riding, a great host town, and amazing support from the motorcycle industry. It's going to make for one great celebration of motorcycling, and a terrific way to wind up the main riding season."
Big Parties take place on many nights, including the "Killington Kick Start" sponsored by RoadBike, Friday's Downtown Block Party sponsored by Motorcycle Bagger, and Saturday's "Full Throttle Party" sponsored by American Iron Magazine (the KC's biggest party). The Full Throttle Party will feature food, music, fireworks and contests, and prizes from American Iron Magazine. "We're really excited to be part of the Classic, " said Jonny Langston, A.I.'s Associate Editor. "The area is an amazing riding destination, and the Killington Classic shouldn't be missed."
