We at New England Motorcycle Tours are truly pleased to be a part of Thunder Through The Mountains: Killington Classic 2009. Vermont Motorcycling is like no other, and our guided tours take you on some of the most scenic routes in Vermont. Worry free riding through pristeen woodlands, plush open farmland, by lakes and streams, over mountain passes, all from the seat of a motorcycle. The attractions never end; covered bridges, waterfalls, wildlife, and rolling through country towns and villages where time seems to have slowed down, displaying the true wonders of Vermont and its people. September is spectacular in Vermont, and we hope you will join us at The Killington Classic 2009. Come enjoy the riding and sincere New England hospitality. We look forward to seeing you!

Ride safe and have fun,

Rick Deziel

Weston, VT

Vermont Village Sampler

A beautiful ride through many of Vermont’s historic villages including Grafton, “One of America’s top 10 most beautiful destinations.” While in Grafton try Daniels Café in the 1801 Tavern for a delicious lite lunch.

After lunch, visit Weston, home to the world famous Original Vermont Country Store. Re-discover items from a bygone era, from candies to toys to sundries, and re-live your childhood, no matter your age! Enjoy the best homemade fudge and homemade ice-cream to be found, while experiencing a simpler time, a time that has never left the Killington area of Vermont.

This tour is a motorcyclist’s delight. Visit "Made in Vermont" craft galleries, museums, wonderful dining and National Parks along the way. The hardest part is finding time to experience everything - which leaves you planning your next trip back to continue to discover Killington! The total route is approximately 170 miles, filled with stunning views, winding roads and fantastic Vermonters.

Rock of Ages Quarry in Barry-Graniteville Vermont

Rock of Ages Tour

This tour features miles of motorcyclist's dream roads, traveling down little known back country, yet paved, roads through genuine Vermont farms and the greenest rolling countryside you have ever experienced. While it is easy to just explore the Vermont countryside, this tour does have a destination, the famous Rock of Ages Quarry in Graniteville, Vermont.

The quarry originated in 1885 by native Yankee's and immigrants who were looking for a better life. A must see on the tour is the Stone Carvers Cemetery. There you will find the most unusual memorials sculpted with great humor, each one telling a story.

If you dare, on your ride back to Killington, make the time to view and traverse Vermont’s only floating bridge. The bridge, which actually floats although it looks mostly underwater, is a world famous motocyclist's photo-op, and spans the Sunset Lake in Brookfield Vermont.

Breathtaking vistas, rolling hills and beautiful country farms are visual candy for the motorcyclist, with something new and spectacular greeting you at every turn. You will be talking about this incredible ride until you return to Killington, Vermont for next year's rally, and you'll be the hero for bringing your friends along for years to come.
